Resins & Binders

Resins and binders form the film of a coating and determine its adhesion, hardness and chemical resistance. PANDA COLLECTIONS sources liquid and solid bisphenol-A epoxy resins, novolac epoxies, acrylic resins (solid, solution and emulsion), alkyd resins, polyurethane polyols, saturated and unsaturated polyester resins and selected vinyl and specialty binders.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is EEW in epoxy resin?

EEW (epoxide equivalent weight) is the weight of resin containing one epoxide group. It determines how much curing agent is needed. Standard liquid bisphenol-A epoxy has an EEW of about 184–190 g/eq.

What is the difference between acrylic and alkyd resin?

Acrylic resins give fast drying, good UV and colour retention and are used in automotive and exterior paints. Alkyds cure by oxidation, wet surfaces well and are economical for enamels, primers and wood finishes.

Do you show chemical prices on the website?

No. Chemical prices move with feedstock markets and depend on grade, purity, packaging, quantity, Incoterms and destination. Send your requirement and PANDA COLLECTIONS will reply with a customised quotation.
