Engineering Plastics

Engineering plastics offer higher strength, heat resistance and dimensional stability than commodity polymers. PANDA COLLECTIONS sources ABS, polycarbonate (PC), polyamide / nylon (PA6, PA66), polyoxymethylene (POM, acetal), polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and polyurethane (PU) materials for automotive, electrical, appliance and precision-moulded components.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between ABS and polycarbonate?

ABS is tough, easy to mould and cost-effective for housings and trim. Polycarbonate has higher impact strength, heat resistance and transparency. PC/ABS blends combine the processing of ABS with part of the toughness of PC.

Can you source glass-filled or flame-retardant grades?

Yes, enquiries for glass-fibre reinforced and flame-retardant grades of PA, PBT, PC and ABS can be reviewed. State the filler percentage and the required flammability rating so equivalent grades can be compared.

Do you show chemical prices on the website?

No. Chemical prices move with feedstock markets and depend on grade, purity, packaging, quantity, Incoterms and destination. Send your requirement and PANDA COLLECTIONS will reply with a customised quotation.
