Electric Heating Alloys

Electric heating alloys are nickel-chromium and iron-chromium-aluminium resistance materials that convert electricity to heat while resisting oxidation at high temperature. The range covers NiCr 80/20, 70/30, 60/15, 35/20 and 30/20 grades and FeCrAl 0Cr25Al5 and 0Cr27Al7Mo2 to GB/T 1234, supplied as wire, ribbon, strip, plate and formed furnace elements.

Key features

  • NiCr grades for elements up to about 1000–1100 °C
  • FeCrAl grades for elements up to about 1250 °C
  • Wire, flat ribbon, strip and formed coils
  • Glass tempering and heat-treatment furnace elements
  • GB/T 1234, ASTM B344 / B603 comparable grades

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between nichrome and FeCrAl heating wire?

NiCr (nichrome) is ductile, stable and easy to form, suited to elements below about 1100 °C; FeCrAl has higher resistivity and service temperature but becomes brittle after use.

Can you supply formed furnace heating elements?

Yes. Coiled and formed elements, including elements for glass tempering furnaces, can be produced to drawing.

Do you show prices on the website?

No. Prices depend on grade, size, quantity, melting route, testing and certificates. Request a quote with the product codes and requirements, and PANDA COLLECTIONS will reply with a customised quotation.
